WHO ARE WE?
We are the Sambassadors of Groove, a non-auditioning community samba band based in Leamington Spa, bringing the vibrant rhythms of Brazil and Cuba to the Midlands and beyond.
Made up of a large and diverse group of drummers, we perform with a wide range of traditional samba percussion instruments, creating a powerful and layered sound. Our style is inspired by Afro-Brazilian music, carnival traditions and contemporary street rhythms, blending authenticity with our own unique energy.

At our core, we are a community built around rhythm, bringing people together to create something expressive and full of life. Whether performing in the street or at private events we are driven by a shared commitment to high-quality performance, connection and the joy of making music together.
Formed in 1998, the Sambassadors of Groove have grown from a small local group into a well-established performance band with a strong reputation across the region and beyond.
Over the years, we’ve performed at festivals, parades, community and charity events and private celebrations, bringing our unique blend of rhythm and movement to audiences across the UK and Europe.
our musical director
Sam Wolff (pictured here, on the left) is our Musical Director and the driving force behind the Sambassadors’ sound. An accomplished percussionist, he performs with the internationally renowned Carnaval Transatlântico and was recently invited to play with the iconic Brazilian group Monobloco - a testament to his skill and reputation within the samba community. Sam brings energy, expertise and passion to everything he does, inspiring the band to perform at its very best.
