What can i Expect?
We are a welcoming community band made up of people of all ages, backgrounds, and experience levels. The one thing we all share ia a love of rhythm!
Whether you’ve never picked up a drum before or you’ve been playing for years, there’s a place for you here. Samba might look impressive (and loud!), but it’s incredibly accessible; no musical background required. All you need is enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and a bit of courage to give it a go.

Our sessions are energetic and social, and it's where we build skills and rehearse grooves. If you’d like to perform with the band, regular attendance at Thursday rehearsals is important.
find your rhythm
Whether you’re completely new to percussion or already have experience, you’ll be supported from day one. Beginners can take time to find their footing and build confidence, while more experienced players will find plenty to challenge and develop their skills within the band.
Your first few sessions are all about getting involved, finding your place, and enjoying the experience.
Ready to Join?
Your first four sessions are completely free, so you can see if it’s your thing with no pressure. Just turn up, say hello, and we’ll get you kitted out and playing in no time. Just come along on a Thursday evening and give it a go!
You’ll be welcomed, supported, and making some noise before you know it.
